Linda is a contemporary abstract artist, who has developed her artwork through various media including fused glass, sand-cast glass, original printmaking and oil painting on canvas.
Many of her recent art works have been inspired by a journey to Myanmar, the birthplace of her mother and grandmother. The Shan Hills and Eastern Plains continue to influence her work through printmaking, glass and painting. Other themes include the synthesis of opposites, exploring difference, for example East/West, symbols of transformation, and Jung’s idea of ‘The Night Sea Journey,’ an immersion into the depths of the unconscious – the mire of the hidden state.

She views the studio as an alchemical vessel, a creative place for experimenting with materials and techniques, through fusing, heat, multi layered plates, embossing texture into damp paper, Chine Collé, and encountering the unexpected. The ambiguity of the semi abstract imagery allowing space for the viewer’s imagination.
“Two of Linda’s framed pieces have adorned our living room walls for many years. Both are beautifully executed images inspired by items in the natural world, and are most pleasing compositions in themselves. However, deeper interest is also aroused by the meanings and feelings suggested by the images, such as associations with femininity, procreativity and life cycles. Even after so long, our eyes fall on these prints with pleasure and satisfaction.”
